KAILASH MANSAROVAR THROUGH LHASA

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and Pilgrimage is a journey of a lifetime. This trip takes you to Kailash Mansarovar through Lhasa by flight and you exit by road through Kerung.  Kailash is the holiest mountain in the world for Hindus, Buddhists, Bonpo and Jain.  This holy mountain is a part of the Trans – Himalayans in far western Tibet, near the source of four of the longest rivers in Asia: The Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra, and Karnali River. Circumambulating the mountain is called Parikrama. Pilgrims still practice it on foot as ancient rituals of devotion with believe that it will bring good fortune in their life. Hindus and Buddhists do the Parikrama in the clockwise direction and Jain and Bonpo followers in anticlockwise direction. Likewise, Lake Mansarovar is the highest freshwater lake in the world. Pilgrims believe that the water of the lake will wash away their sins if they drink the water from the lake or take bath in it.
