DAY 1 : ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU (1300 M). OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL
Welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu. Our representative will be present there who will transfer you to the hotel.
DAY 2 : SIGHTSEEING AROUND PASHUPATINATH , GUHESWORI, JAL NARAYAN, SWAYAMBHUNATH. IN THE EVENING THERE WILL BE BRIEFING FOR KAILASH YATRA TOUR.
Early morning, we will visit Pashupatinath Temple, located in banks of Bagamati river. Pashupatinath temple is listed in World Heritage Sites in 1979 and also one of the most religious palces for Hindus. It will take us about 2 hours to visit the Pashupatinath Temple. Back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we further go to visit Swambhunath, Jal Narayan. In the evening there will be tour briefing about the Kailash Yatra.
DAY 3 : AFTER BREAKFAST DRIVE FROM KATHMANDU TO TIMURE. 165 KILOMETRES
After breakfast, we drive onwards from Kathmandu. Though its only 165 kilometers, it will take around 7 hours because of the current road condition. The roads are being upgraded and once upgraded it will take considerably shorter period of time. It is however full of very beautiful mountains and rivers. Overnight at Timure.
DAY 4 : DRIVE TO KERUNG. 40 KMS
After breakfast we drive onwards to the Nepal-Tibet border. We pass through the immigration procedure and drive to Kerung/Kyirong. As it is 2900 metres from sea level, we take the rest of the day to acclimatize. It is very important to get used to the higher altitude before moving further up. Overnight in Kerung.
DAY 5 : DRIVE ONWARDS TO SAGA
After breakfast, we drive onwards to Saga. It is 350 kilometers from Kerung. The road is nice and smooth. Saga lies at an altitude of 4450 meters. It is a nice little distinctive Tibetan town to go around.
DAY 6 : DRIVE TO LAKE MANSAROVAR
After breakfast, we drive onwards to Lake Mansarovar. The scenery on the way are out of this world. It is 280 kilometers from Saga and takes around 5 hours. Lake Mansarovar lies at an altitude of 4500 meters.
DAY 7 : DRIVE TO DARCHEN
After doing pooja, Havana at Lake Mansarovar. We drive onwards to Darchen which is 46 kilometers from the lake. It is around 4600 metres from sea level .
DAY 8 : DRIVE TO YAMADWAR AND TREK TO DERAPHUK
It is only 8 kilometers from Darchen to Yamadwar. Yamadwar is also called Tarboche. From Tarboche we trek to Deraphuk which is approximately 12 kilometres. Deraphuk lies at an altitude of 4890 metres. Overnight at guest house.
DAY 9 : TREK TO ZUTHULPHUK
We now trek onwards to Gaurikunda and from there to Zuthulphuk. It is 22 kilometers of trekking, so it takes around 10 hours of trek to reach Zuthulphuk on this day.
DAY 10 : ZUTHULPHUK TO SAGA
We then move onwards from Zuthulphuk to Saga. We first trek for 2 hours and then drive for 6 hours.
DAY 11 : DRIVE TO KERUNG
We then drive onwards towards Kerung after breakfast.
DAY 12 : DRIVE BACK TO KATHMANDU
We then drive back to Kathmandu.
DAY 13 : DEPARTURE TOWARDS YOUR HOME
Last day of your trip. You can move around Kathmandu for shopping based on your flight schedule. And then depart home with sweet memories.
